PROJECT  360 D
DISC  BRAKE SYSTEM
This is what a front drum from the 360 looks like after cutting it from the drum and some machining. It has now become the front hub for a disc brake system. The provisions for the original dust cap have been retained as well as the original wheel bearings for simplicity of retrofitting. The 4 X 100mm bolt pattern looks like the Subie people could have done it this way back in '69. Notice the ribs were machined to a flat surface allowing proper seating of the rotor to the hub face.
Front & rear view of the modified drum / hub. Small "butterfly" cuts on the rear allow correct alignment and seating of the lug studs.
Close tolerances allow proper fit of the '01 Honda Civic rear rotor to the new hub. The center opening on the rotor had to be enlarged to allow necessary clearance of the factory Subaru dust cap. The rear of the hub has a close tolerance to the inner area of the rotor allowing the rotor to slide over the hub easily, but accurately.

Test fitting a 13" aftermarket rim with the modified hub/rotor assembly on the left front of a Subie. The front wheel, brake assembly, and the backing plate were removed for the trial fit.  Isn't that a cool look having a rotor exposed behind the wheel?
